No Winter Here, So Gas Does a Different Job
In most of the country a gas company is a heating company. Not here. Nobody in Miami-Dade is running a furnace in January, and the gas in a South Florida house is doing something else entirely.
It’s cooking. It’s hot water, and increasingly tankless hot water. It’s the pool heater that makes the pool usable in the months everyone actually wants it. It’s the outdoor kitchen. And it’s the standby generator, which is the one piece of gas equipment down here that nobody thinks about until the season it matters.
That changes what the work looks like. A lot of housing out west went up all-electric, so a big share of what we do is running gas to a property for the first time rather than repairing something old. And the sizing question comes up constantly, because a pool heater or a tankless unit asks far more of a line than the range it was put in for.

Get everyone out of the building before you do anything else. Don’t flip switches, don’t unplug anything, don’t use the phone inside, and don’t go hunting for the leak yourself. From outside, call your gas utility’s emergency line or 911. That is the right first call at any hour, and it is free. Then call us.
What We'll Tell You Before You Hire Anyone
Whether gas is even available at your address is decided by whether a utility main runs down your street, not by which city you’re in. Three different gas utilities operate across these two counties and they don’t all serve both. Two houses on the same road can get different answers, so anyone who tells you over the phone without checking is guessing.
A gas line is sized against everything that will run on it at once. If somebody quotes you for a tankless unit without asking what else is on the line, that quote is going to change.
Gas work is permitted and inspected in every municipality in both counties, and there are dozens of them with processes that aren’t identical. It adds time. It’s still worth it, because unpermitted gas work surfaces at resale and that’s a far more expensive moment to find it.
And our hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. We don’t run an after-hours line. If you smell gas at midnight, the call you want is your gas utility or 911, not a contractor, and that’s true no matter who you’d eventually hire.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
No. We work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and we don’t run an after-hours line. On a live gas smell the correct first call is your gas utility’s emergency line or 911 at any hour, not a contractor. Call us first thing and we’ll tell you what we can get to that day.
Do I have gas available at my address?
It depends on whether a utility main runs past your property, which is a street-by-street question rather than a city-wide one. Three gas utilities operate across Miami-Dade and Broward and they don’t all cover both counties. If there’s no main, propane is the usual alternative. It’s the first thing to establish, because it changes the whole job.
What can you connect?
Ranges and cooktops, gas dryers, tankless and tank water heaters, pool and spa heaters, outdoor kitchens, grills and fire features, and commercial kitchen equipment. The appliance is rarely the hard part. What decides the job is whether the line feeding it can carry the load.
Do you work on commercial property?
Yes. Restaurants and commercial kitchens, multifamily and apartment buildings, hotels, retail, office, industrial and manufacturing. Commercial work is mostly a scheduling problem as much as a gas problem, because the question is usually when the building can afford to lose gas rather than what’s wrong with it.

Yes, Florida registration LQ12177. It’s issued under the state’s gas licensing program, which covers the design, installation, servicing and modification of gas piping, tubing and equipment for both natural gas and propane.
